Responsibilities:

The Strategy and Planning Analyst Senior is responsible for assisting in the three key functions of the department: (1) Corporate Strategy, (2) Annual Business Plan, and (3) Market Insights and Competitive Intelligence. The Senior Analyst will build expertise in strategic planning, business planning, analytics, competitive analysis, market research, financial analysis and modeling, and M&A evaluation. The Senior Analyst will be assigned to strategy projects, multiple markets and Shared Services verticals to assist in the development of an annual business plan for each, and new prospective markets or existing markets to develop market and competitor analysis for each. The Senior Analyst will also be on point to assist in the development of a regular cadence of reports to keep Executive Committee members informed on competitor intelligence and moves as well as environmental trends impacting MLR and other areas of our business.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Supports Directors and Managers

  • Develops slide decks and storylines

  • Conducts research

  • Develops analyses/models (e.g. market analysis, competitor analysis, industry sizing, projections)

  • Designs standardized templates

  • Completes progress reports for projects

  • Takes meeting notes, and summarizes key action items and next steps

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Specialization in Health Care Administration, Marketing, Business, or Finance preferred.

  • 1-3 years related experience in a strategy or healthcare research related field with market analysis and health care industry experience.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated interest in health care.

Note: Presently all our Associates are working remotely. Our current location is 200 Stevens Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19113. We are in the process of building a new headquarters in Newtown Square. That address is 3805 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, 19073. This role/department will be transitioning there at the end of 2020. Must be commutable distance to both locations
