Participate in the design and development solutions of electronic data interchange (EDI) applications. Code, test and develop programs and documentation for the assigned Projects, Enhancements and Production support. Troubleshoot and solve design and coding challenges. Liaise with Programmer/Analysts and Business Systems Analysts to understand and meet customer requirements and design specifications.


  • Software Development and Testing

  • Design, develop and manage interfaces between internal systems and external trading partners using .Net, C#, Visual Basic, ASP.

  • Maintain and perform service enhancements of EDI application/services.

  • Unit and system tests software to assure quality.

  • Analysis and Design

  • Carries out systematic problem identification, analysis, and resolution.

  • Analyzes and reduces complex problems into simple, manageable components .

  • Develops technical design specifications.

  • Participates in technical meetings and peer review sessions, as required.

  • Problem Solving and Judgment

  • Evaluates technical performance challenges and recommends tuning solutions.

  • Focuses on solving problem at hand and recommends permanent solutions.

  • Utilizes decision-making techniques successfully.

  • Communications and Documentation

  • Conveys ideas clearly and tailors communication based on selected audience (technical and non-technical).

  • Charts various processes, procedures and workflows accurately.

  • Effectively composes technical and non-technical documents such as design specifications, operation. guides, process flows, and other technical schematics.

  • Writes and updates task/project status and reports.

  • Lights on Support

  • Provides production support on rotation basis.


  • At least Six years solid experience using .Net, C#, Visual Basic, ASP

  • XML and Sybase knowledge preferred.

  • At least six years of experience using SQL.

  • Tidal knowledge preferred.

  • Familiarity with EDI X12 - 837, 834, 835, 820, 270/271 and other transaction sets.

  • Experience in the healthcare industry.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with multiple priorities on demand.

  • Provide off-hours on-call support as needed.


B.S. in technical discipline or equivalent business experience in software development.
