Leading the internal communications functions, the director will collaborate with executive leadership, lines of business, and corporate partners to ensure alignment between content and strategy. The director also leads a team of writers and a manager.

  • Creates the internal communication calendar, identifying strategic priorities and executing against deadline.

  • Institutes quality controls to ensure communications go through the proper approvals.

  • Coordinates development of media assets, such as video, to engage associates and bring communications to life.

  • Plan and coordinate large associate engagement campaigns with internal operational groups to ensure effective alignment and/or change of processes, behaviors.

  • Manages development and continuous improvement of channels, such as the network of plasmas, online intranet, digital newsletter, etc.

  • Maintains searchable archive of stories and assets.

  • Provides metrics/results reports regularly on the performance of stories, intranet pages, newsletter, etc.

  • Ensures high level of productivity within the internal communications team, while building a collaborative, service oriented culture.


  • Ten or more years of internal communications experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

  • Five to ten years of staff management experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Establishes excellent working relationships across the organization at all levels.

  • Demonstrated ability and comfort to influence individuals and teams that fall outside of span of control.

  • Ability to use diplomacy and tact to manage conflict and to arbitrate solutions successfully

  • Ability to develop well-written, clear and compelling copy; ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for understanding complex issues and ability to translate and simplify them for key audiences.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Solid understanding of broad industry issues; ability to grasp technical issues and market considerations.

  • Managed Care, Health Care/Insurance experience preferred.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19, Associates are presently working remotely. When Associates are transitioned back to the office, the functions of this position will be performed onsite at our new offices located at 3805 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073.
