Director Finance, fully dedicated to Enterprise Optimization. Responsible for overseeing Enterprise Optimization financial impact; validating initiative business cases, monitoring potential value erosion, and verifying realized savings; communicating overall financial impact of Enterprise Optimization to stakeholder across the enterprise. Reports to the Vice President of Enterprise Optimization.

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate across Finance and Actuary teams to validate initiative business cases and track progress against financial targets.

  • Acts as a liaison to Finance on financial Enterprise Optimization issues

  • Works with Initiative Owners (IOs) to ensure consistent approach to valuation of initiative impact (including guiding IOs in sizing initiatives and setting key assumptions to be consistently used across related work streams).

  • Provides Executive Sponsors with adequate financial information and guidance to support decision making.

  • Works with Enterprise Optimization Lead and Executive Sponsors to reinforce value targets.

  • Involved in the strategic assessment of value by forecasting impact on medical trend and performing trend analysis to forecast future monthly impacts and comparing against monthly financial goals.

  • Identifies financial trends which could hinder or accelerate financial impact of initiatives.

  • Anticipates and recommends solutions for any financial issues that arise.

  • Develops expertise in Wave and performs financial tracking of progress against commitments (both value delivery and timing).

  • Segregates the financial impact of the Enterprise Optimization from baseline performance.

  • Supports Finance in the integration of Enterprise Optimization commitments with AOP budget.

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.Masters’ Degree preferred.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Medicaid Finance.

  • Deep understanding of practices in Finance, Actuarial Science, FP&A, pricing, medical cost management and administrative expense modeling.

  • Ability to proactively forecast initiative results and make recommendations to keep initiatives on or ahead of track.

  • Strong analytical capabilities.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
